In my latest series, I sought to explore the cycles of our thoughts and emotions. For a long time, the planets have been used to map out patterns in our personal lives and within our communities. We inherently look for patterns all around us. Sometimes we find some truth and other times we are lead down a path of false connections and disillusions. Regardless of the outcomes we keep searching.

My latest series of paintings titled “The Red Sun'' dial into the emerging emotions I have felt navigating through grief and all the strings that attach to that process. The works all depict different rising emotions such as feeling inwardly flattened and empty but offer a space of healing. My hope is that the viewer(s) can find solace and understanding through their own archival of memories and past traumatic experiences. We are not alone.
